Christmas is one of the great times of the year when you have too much ham to know what to do with. This recipe is a great way to use up excess ham while allowing you time to spend with family and not in the kitchen. Because it's Christmas it is a little indulgent but also a step up from your usual toasted sandwich. The sour cream, mustard and onion combo really takes it to another level. You could even get the kids to make this, they will love it. When cooking you can either use a pan or a press to toast these.

Ingredients
Ham (1 or 2 slices of Christmas Ham)
Cheese (2 slices off your usual cheese block)
Havarti Cheese (Grated and ½ a handful)
Sour Cream (1 Tbsp)
Mustard (Whole grain 1 Tbsp)
Red Onion (A couple of slices, sliced thinly)
Butter (25-50 g for frying)
Method
Combine sour cream and mustard in a bowl and spread over one slice of bread.
Place onion on top of sour cream spread.
Place normal cheese slices on top of sour cream and onion, then the ham and top with grated Havarti cheese.
Place the other slice of bread to complete this sandwich.
Heat butter in a pan placed on medium heat. Place sandwich in the pan and allow 3-4 minutes for each side. Make sure that the temperature is not to high as this will burn the bread. Bread should be browned nicely and cheese oozes goodness. Enjoy!!!
