Happy Lucky Inspiration

Hi, My name is Anh-Son but many people call me Arnie. I created this site as a way to share my love of food, whether it be through the food that I eat at home or the places I go to discover something new. I am based in Wellington, New Zealand and have always been inspired by food. This is a picture of my family's dining room table. This is where food first inspired me. The lazy Susan is not only a handy way to share food among large groups of people but it is also a metaphor for the sharing of many other things such as ideas and interests. Growing up in a Vietnamese family I was lucky enough to talk about food on a daily basis. My food is always meant to be shared with others so many of these dishes can be amended to cater for large groups from 10 - 100 people. The recipes on this site are usually Asian inspired but there are also many other recipes from all over that can make you feel very happy.

On a basic level food can nourish and sustain you but it can also take you on a journey of discovery, where you take on new experiences and tastes. Happy Lucky Food is about finding food that makes you feel good inside whether it be natural and wholesome or deep fried and sloppy. Ultimately any food that tastes good is food worth sharing. After spending time traveling and eating in my own backyard I have realised that good food can come in a range of packages no matter if it's in a 5 star restaurant or on a local street stall. Happy Lucky Food is at its best when it's not only delicious but also shared with others.
I hope you enjoy the food and places on this site and please feel free to get in contact if there is anything you want to discuss about eating Happy Lucky Food.
Eat Yourself Happy.
